Mike and I went to visit Tubac, about 10 minutes south of Green Valley. It's an old mission town, very quaint, with tons of little shops, loaded with everything Mexican. Mike got overwhelmed with all the "jingy-jong" stuff and we had to leave after only 2 shops, no time for the galleries.....SHEESH. Too bad there were no "classic cars" or "old planes" or porn for him to look at. I should have known better and left him HOME.
Saturday morning we left early to attend the mineral show being held at the Desert Museum. Last month we purchased a family membership. I really like it here, there is so much to see, and the national desert surrounding the area is so beautiful. There is so much foliage(it that the right word for cacti?). All the catus grow right up to the edge of the two lane road. Before we leave on Thursday we should really travel up this road to the end....its such a nice drive.
Lori and Frank and Harleigh visited and joined us for dinner that night. Mike made delicious meatballs and red sauce with pasta for all of us. It was our first real dinner party. Elissa and Fred came too. Fred went home with a huge tray of pasta and meatballs....he was quite happy.
It rained all day yesterday and last night too. Mt. Lemon got 8 inches of rain and all the "washes" are flooded.
This morning is clearing nicely and Mike and I are headed out in a few.
