I  just learned that the Internet furniture company that was going to send out new items for my AZ living room has shut the doors to their retail business and I suspect the internet sales as well.  $946.00, charged to my Amex for several peices that we thought would be delivered this week.  :(

I have disputed the charges with AMex....but I am not sure how they will handle a company shutting down.  I HATE THAT I MAY LOSE this money.

http://www.peoplesfurniture.net   http://www.yelp.com has plenty of info regarding others who have been bilked by this company.

STEALING....they should be arrested.

They have the BBB symbol on their website - contact the Better Business Bureau, they're not supposed to charge your credit card UNTIL THE PRODUCT SHIPS. That's massive fraud. Also contact the state attorney general for Arizona.

Called the BBB for all three of their business locations, called the Santa Clara District Attorney's office(they have a file stated to thwart attempts to declare bankruptcy), and I have a call in to the Federal Trade Commission. They don't know who they are foolin' with. BASTARDS!

Most of all I hate this because it took so long for us to decide on the furniture we wanted....arghh.
